To answer your question about the chair and bench combo, the picture was indeed taken in bay ridge--you live all the way out here too? It's hard to imagine people other than Muslims and/or super old Italians living on this end of the world.
I knew it. I drunkenly stumbled by that bench/chair on my way home during that shitty weather. I remember it well because my sister and I stood in the rain/wind/thunder to ponder why/how that chair was by that bench.
Ha! I know exactly what you mean about bay ridge. My family is old italian/irish and have lived in bay ridge for generations. its funny how most people react when I tell them where i live..usually a blank stare and general confusion or pity.
